What kind of story is this?
The Fires of Love & Hate is a twelve-book historical Western romance family saga. It opens in Gallatin, Missouri, in the summer of 1896, and follows Hattie Morran and the families bound to her across the decades. By the final book the story has reached the early 1940s and the Second World War.
If you love slow-burn romance, family loyalty tested by betrayal, buried secrets and a heroine who refuses to be broken, you are in the right place.
The road so far
Each book picks up where the last one left off, so they are best read in order. Here is the setup for each, with nothing beyond what the back covers reveal.
Book 1
